New documents show 2020 election grants in Pa. intertwined with professional, partisan Left
Months after the 2020 election was complete and weeks after Joe Biden had been inaugurated, one of the leading principals who managed the selective distribution of election grants in Pennsylvania embarked on a post-game analysis to see “what worked and what did not” with the money doled out to county election offices throughout the commonwealth.
That person, Marc Solomon, didn’t do the analysis himself, however. Instead, he hired Fernandez Advisors, according to emails obtained by Broad + Liberty.
Fernandez Advisors, based in New York City, caters to some of the most influential and deep-pocketed leftwing organizations in the world, including John Podesta’s Center for American Progress, George Soros’ Open Society Foundation, and the Tides Foundation.
The discovery is yet one more link of how deeply the Pennsylvania grant effort was intertwined with the professional, partisan left.
The Chicago-based nonprofit Center for Tech and Civic Life distributed the grants to about two dozen Pennsylvania counties as well as to the Department of State totalling more than $25 million in the runup to the 2020 election.
Solomon, a paid political consultant with a New York City-based firm, was not contracted to work on behalf of the CTCL, however. As Broad + Liberty has previously established and reported, Solomon was working on behalf of the Center for Secure and Modern Elections, even though the CSME was never officially announced as any kind of partner in the project to the public.
The email is notable because Solomon doesn’t ever reference the CTCL, the marquee name cited in hundreds if not thousands of news articles about the election grants. Instead Solomon references the “Cities Project.”
According to publicly listed donations for two philanthropic foundations (the Joyce Foundation and the Blaustein Foundation), the Cities Project was a project under the New Venture Fund. The New Venture Fund is the flagship political arm of the Arabella Network, which The Atlantic magazine called “The Massive Progressive Dark-Money Group You’ve Never Heard Of.”
The Cities Project was also mentioned in government emails in Green Bay, as well as in Philadelphia, in relation to the CTCL grants.
Hayden Ludwig, a senior investigative researcher for the conservative Capital Research Center, says the information gleaned from this post-game analysis from Fernandez Advisors will likely now be shared widely across the political left.
“We know the Left runs highly sophisticated voter registration models based on mountains of data. That research always gets disseminated to all of the major funders and GOTV groups active each election cycle,” Ludwig said. “It seems that these activists are now branching into directly manipulating public elections offices through private grants and ‘training’ programs, which they first tried in 2020. The overarching goal is the same: Register and turn out as many Democratic voters as possible, either in-person or by mail-in ballots.”

Former President Donald Trump issued a blistering response on Saturday after Special Counsel John Durham revealed in a court filing that the Hillary Clinton campaign plotted to infiltrate the Trump campaign along with White House computer servers in order to fabricate allegations of Russian collusion.
"The latest pleading from Special Counsel Robert Durham provides indisputable evidence that my campaign and presidency were spied on by operatives paid by the Hillary Clinton Campaign in an effort to develop a completely fabricated connection to Russia," reads Trump's statement.
"This is a scandal far greater in scope and magnitude than Watergate and those who were involved in and knew about this spying operation should be subject to criminal prosecution."
"In a stronger period of time in our country, this crime would have been punishable by death. In addition, reparations should be paid to those in our country who have been damaged by this."

In a letter, signed by 37 of his Republican colleagues in Congress, Texas Rep. Dr. Ronny Jackson warns that President Biden's "mental decline and forgetfulness have become more apparent over the past two years," and urges the 79-year-old to take a cognitive aptitude test (just as former President Trump did).
“My colleagues and I are again asking President Biden to immediately undergo a formal cognitive screening exam, such as the Montreal Cognitive Assessment,” Jackson said.
“As a former physician to three Presidents of the United States, I know what it takes mentally and physically to execute the duties of Commander-in-Chief and Head of State,” said Jackson, who served as a White House doctor to former Presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump.

Late last week, special counsel John Durham filed new court documents confirming our previous reporting that DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz concealed crucial information from Durham in connection with two separate investigations: the ongoing prosecution of Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann and the criminal leak investigation of former FBI general counsel James Baker.
The filing also highlights the growing rift between the two men.
The new filing focuses on two cell phones that had been used by Baker when he was with the FBI. Durham’s previous filing had stated that Horowitz concealed the existence of the two phones. Horowitz now claims that he may have mentioned the existence of one of the phones four years ago. While Durham disputes this claim, the new filing is most noteworthy for all of Durham’s previous claims that Horowitz does not dispute.

John Durham: Democrats Paid to ‘Infiltrate’ Trump White House Servers
Special counsel John Durham’s team alleged on Feb. 12 that a tech executive aligned with the Democratic Party was paid to spy on former President Donald Trump’s residences and the White House when Trump was president.
Lawyers for the Clinton campaign allegedly paid the technology executive to infiltrate servers at the Trump Tower and the White House, Durham said in court filings (pdf), in order to establish an “inference” and “narrative” to tie Trump to the Russian government. Durham’s office made the claim as part of his investigation that had brought charges against Michael Sussmann, a lawyer who had worked on behalf of the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign and who is currently charged with making a false statement to the FBI.
Durham alleged Sussmann “had assembled and conveyed the allegations to the FBI on behalf of at least two specific clients, including a technology executive (Tech Executive 1) at a U.S.-based internet company (Internet Company 1) and the Clinton campaign,” according to a section in the court filing, titled “Factual Background.”
Billing records he obtained suggest that Sussmann “repeatedly billed the Clinton Campaign for his work on the Russian Bank-1 allegations” and that the unnamed technology executive met and communicate with Mark Elias, a left-wing lawyer and operative who has filed numerous election-related lawsuits on behalf of the Democrats. Sussman previously pleaded not guilty and accused Durham of acting in a politically motivated manner.
“Tech Executive-1 also enlisted the assistance of researchers at a U.S.-based university who were receiving and analyzing large amounts of Internet data in connection with a pending federal government cybersecurity research contract,” Durham’s filing states.

Knowing what we know already, there’s clearly cause for deep concern about the COVID

Jul 29, 2019 From: Myra Saul To: NY State Co-Chair Douglas Kellner, describing information she had received from Westchester County Election Commissioners: ” The objection is this: because the machine takes so long to boot up on site, it is impractical to use. The example they cited was the test experience of Erie County. They indicated that the Erie Board of Elections programmed their Dominion machine to produce multiple ballot faces, but when it was tested as if at a polling site (after the seals were broken), it took 18 hours to boot up.
